Agency Management 1: Motivation and Engagement

Research shows that agency management, employee engagement and good business outcomes are all related. Tell someone to work harder, give them a bigger “carrot”, and it should work, right? Not so. Use autonomy, mastery, and purpose to motivate employees to higher engagement. Diagnose engagement problems for an organization and take steps to re-engage staff at a higher level.

  • Mental Health Practitioner Supervisors and other participants will gain understanding on how to keep staff engaged in focusing on client care and other critical clinical tasks.
  • Mental Health Practitioner Supervisors and other participants will be able to pinpoint the difference between Hygiene and Motivation work factors that improve client care.
  • Mental Health Practitioners and other participants will be able to identify and utilize core elements that keep employees motivated at work, prevent burn out and improve overall care of clients.
