This workshop will focus on the unique communication needs and challenges of those who have a cognitive impairment (including Dementia). This can also include those individuals who have a comorbid intellectual and/or developmental disability. Participants will learn the unique needs of this population, techniques for increasing successful communication, and the importance of including individual collateral contacts as a source of information and support.
