Crystal has worked with children and youth in many capacities, including at-risk and detained youth as a support specialist, as well as in mental health crisis response in Berrien County, Michigan. She completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Human Services/Management in 2012 from the University of Phoenix. She began working at Omni in February 2015 as an Intensive Family Preservation Specialist, focused on behavioral modification, therapeutic skills building, and resource connectivity. She earned her Masters of Science degree in Clinical Counseling in 2016 from Bellevue University in Nebraska.

At that time, she transitioned to an Intensive Family Preservation Therapist where she implemented and guided skills building interventions for specialists and aides in support of family stability and maintenance in the community. Presently, she holds her independent practitioner licenses in Nebraska and Iowa, licensure for drug and alcohol counseling in Nebraska, and is board certified through the National Board for Certified Counselors. Currently, she is Omni’s Director of Foster Care Therapeutic Services, providing active therapeutic intervention and guidance to clinicians and specialists in assessing risk and developing intervention plans based on client and family strengths, in order to support placement stability and growth.
