About Foster Care
Omni Inventive Care’s foster care program is designed as out-of-home placement for a wide variety of youth. The foster care program has the capacity to care for a wide range of youth, including young victims of abuse and neglect, emergency short-term care, and youth with severe emotional and behavioral disorders. The goals for the youth in care are either reunification with family, guardianship or adoption, or independent living. Care is delivered in private homes with specially trained foster parents. The combination of family-based care with specialized treatment interventions creates an environment that is supportive in a number of areas of living.
Each youth receives individualized attention from an Omni Foster Care Specialist who is responsible for coordinating various services while in our care. If required, Omni will provide additional therapeutic support to both the biological family and foster family, as well as the youth in our care. Omni has successfully served youth in the community with support provided to schools, child care, and numerous events and activities.

Omni serves youth with varied interests and works with families in the community to accommodate the many different needs of children and adolescents, always with the goal of assisting the youth in finding a forever family. Omni licenses relatives of foster youth in order for them to meet the necessary requirements for their youth to live with them. Omni works hard to provide foster parents with extensive support and services. Services provided to families include a stipend, as well as other therapeutic services for the youth and family when needed. Because of the wonderful families and Omni’s team approach, many youth receive permanency, often returning to their biological family.

Kelsey has worked with children and families involved in the child welfare system in many capacities for several years. Her previous experiences include case management for child abuse and neglect cases as well as adoption recruiting in order to locate adoptive homes for youth in need of permanency.
She completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in both Criminal Justice and Psychology from Midland University in 2015. She received a Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in 2022 and is a practicing mental health therapist.
She began working at Omni in 2018 as a Foster Care Specialist. She also has worked in the Substitute Care Department with Omni as well. In both positions, her role was to provide support to the individuals placed in the foster and substitute care homes to maintain stability. Kelsey transitioned to the role of Foster Care Supervisor in 2020 and shortly after, she moved into the position of Director of Foster Care Placement Services. In her leadership roles at Omni, her focus has been on providing an inclusive and innovative atmosphere that successfully provides services to youth and families in foster care with very complex needs. She also serves as the secretary of the Nebraska chapter of the Family Focused Treatment Association.
